Dr. Mariel Gallet, DACM, L.Ac.

Mariel Gallet is certified and licensed by the California Acupuncture Board and the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She received her Doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) and M.S. in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA. She received Bachelor degrees in psychology and dance from Denison University. She is a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT-200). She is currently enrolled in UCSD’s Spanish for Healthcare Providers Certificate Program and UCSD’s Integrative Nutrition Certificate Program.

Mariel completed over 3500 hours of training in Chinese medicine and acupuncture and clinical internships at Rady Children’s Hospital (San Diego), UCSD Cancer Center (Encinitas), UCSD Perlman Women’s Clinic (La Jolla), and San Diego Herbal Medicine. In addition, she has volunteered with the Global Clinic in Dominican Republic, Veterans Stand Down (San Diego), and Shakti Rising (San Diego). She has worked at Aculife, Inc., Orijin Acupuncture + Wellness, PainCare of San Diego, and Create Wellness La Jolla.

Mariel is devoted to empowering others to achieve balance through acupuncture, herbs, nutrition, exercise, and manageable lifestyle adaptations. With backgrounds in psychology, dance, and yoga, as well as education in nutrition, women’s health, and meditation, she strives to help her patients achieve balance.
